A touch of baroque in your sitting room: brought up to date, obviously. Artemide's
Gaia is offering this and even more, that is the “gift” of uniqueness. Gaia is a
suspended lamp that “imitates” those crystal chandeliers that decorated exclusive
living rooms some years ago; funny and irreverent in its own way, this lamp is unique
and thus gives its owner a free hand about the ideal room in which to put it. The
refined design matches with a sensible choice of materials and technical solutions:
first thing to notice is the stem, in polished chrome steel, which height is adjustsble
(from 89 to 149 cm); it is covered with blown glass in its lower part and it ends with a
sort of a bowl that hides a light bulb. Above this bowl there's a small circular basis
from which the chandelier's arms start: all arms are in blown glass and they all end
with a small cup that holds a light bulb. The arms' shape is peculiar: they are all
wavy. Gaia is available in black or white and also in the wall version: same colors,
same style, two or three arms.
