Just a touch: and light goes wherever you want. That of Artemide's Ipogeo is a very
refined project, for a floor lamp characterized by the fact of being totally adjustable.
But don't think you have to work hard to do so. Thanks to a thorough counterbalance
(you can guess it looking at the two big red counterweights at the lower end of the
stem), all you need to do to change Ipogeo's arrangement and let light reach every
corner of the room is make some few simple movements. Ipogeo's appearance is of
strong impact: thin if it wasn't for the counterweights (in chromatic contrast with the
rest), Ipogeo is characterized by black painted extruded aluminium adjustable arms,
die-cast aluminium joints, black iron and aluminium base and a small clear bellshaped
diffuser. Its large dimensions make the rest: Ipogeo's height when folded is
281 cm and its maximum horizontal extent is 370 cm. An object that cannot go
unnoticed.
