Designed in 1998 by Ernesto Gismondi, Miconos is another Artemide's offer that can count on a complete range of versions. Table, floor, ceiling, suspension and wall: Miconos remains the same, very refined and elegant, capable of fitting into different rooms but definitely not ordinary. It's an object that stands out for its refinement, despite its simple look: a blown glass ball, delicate and fragile, that contains a light bulb of conspicuous dimensions. Structure and appearence merge, techincal ements become part of the design. The diffuser's transparency nicely contrast with the metallic elements, in plished chrome metal; all the versions have a small ring on top, which serves as a decoration for the table and floor versions and as a hook for the ceiling and suspended ones.
