A refined creation made by the genius Philippe Starck for Flos: it's called Archimoon and it's a modern and elegant lamp declined in different versions, of which the most
well-known is the table version (Archimoon K and Soft). Simple only in the appearance, Archimoon K hides refined stylistic and technical solutions. A perfect example is the “double” diffuser, that can even go unnoticed to a “profane” eye: an
internal one in acid-etched pressed borosilicate glass and an external one in injectionmolded polycarbonate, vacuum-aluminized inside, bell-shaped. You can decide between gray and red color, or as an alternative choose Archimoon Soft, with plissé cloth external diffuser for a softer atmosphere. The arms in extruded aluminium and the die-cast zamak base are the same for both versions of the lamp. Archimoon Soft is
available also in the F/T version, which is a floor lamp equipped with a circular aluminium table. There's another interesting version of Archimoon, the “grown up” version of the floor lamp: its name is SuperArchimoon and it is 191 cm high. SuperArchimoon is available also in an outdoor version, with outer diffuser obtained from weaves of colored PVC tubes (three colors: titanium, carbon and natural).
