A “picturesque” ghost, the one typical of fairy-tales with the regular white sheet. There couldn't have been a more appropriate name for this lamp: this very original
creation by Tobia Scarpa for Flos is called Fantasma (“ghost” in italian) and likes to play with the user's fantasy. This very imaginative creation dates back to 1961 but
doesn't feel the burden of years at all, since it would fit even the most modern living room. Fantasma gets itself noticed for its dimensions – although it is ethereal – but
the technical structure isn't pushed in the background. A white powder coated internal steel structure is the base on which the diffuser is sprayed, made by a “cocoon” resin;
the latter is in turn sprayed with a transparent protective finish. The final effect is a light and delicate dress, a thick weaved web that, once the light is turned on,
transform itself into a delicate light beam. Fantasma Piccolo is the version of more contained dimensions and Fantasma is also available in with the new Muvis electronic dimmer that allows the wireless connection with Flos Cubo.
