They come from the same pencil that drew Fantasma and Fantasma Piccolo, Achille and Giacomo Castiglioni's pencil. But this time the creation was meant to embellish tables: Gatto and Gatto Piccolo – made by Flos – draw inspiration from the same
concept, a solid structure covered with an ethereal superstructure for a “soft” light effect and a very refined appearance. Both Gatto and her “younger sister” were
designed in the Sixties – the design is characteristic of the age in which it was created – and they're made of soft and rounded lines. Gatto's structure is made by a white
powder-coated steel “skeleton” on which is then sprayed a “cocoon” resin that makes up the diffuser, which is in turn sprayed with a transparent protective finish. Gatto is
56 cm high while Gatto Piccolo is 30 cm; both models are equipped with an electronic dimmer to regulate the light intensity.
