Antonio Citterio and Oliver Löw managed to create a surprising lamp for Flos from a simple sheet of glass. It's a suspension lamp characterized by a modern and slightly technological look, that will give a rough ride to everyone sitting under it because... it draws the attention of the curious ones. Lastra is available with 6 or 8 lights and it is formed by a big tempered transparent glass sheet (15 mm thick); on the upper surface there are the cone-shaped pressed glass diffusers, painted white. The peculiar feature is the system chosen to distribute power: the light bulbs are powered through two
silkscreening processes, a silver paste and a protective ceramic paste, that draw an eye-catching pattern on the surface of the glass sheet. It's an original and functional
idea, a beautiful synthesis of design and technology. Lastra is also equipped with dimmer for the regulation of the light intensity.
