Design and technological innovation go arm in arm: a pleasure for the eyes and a pleasure to use. Flos' Rosy Angelis manages to combine these different needs by means of an original project that came out from designer Philippe Starck's mind. Rosy Angelis is a floor lamp of strong impact, despite the seeming delicacy conferred by the special ultra-lightweight fabric shade. The shade “clashes” nicely with the structure that holds the lamp-holder, made up of three aluminium cylindric “legs”. And it's just this contrast that makes the whole precious and refined. The icing on the cake is the extreme functionality guaranteed by a particular system that manages light intensity: Rosy Angelis is equipped with rotary dimmer located inside the lampholder, operated by a satin-finished aluminium stem that acts as well as on/off switch. Rosy Angelis is available with matt silver or mahogany stems.
