Another art-design, another Flos' lamp that was created in the Sixties and became a “must-have” during the years. Splügen Bräu, designed by Achille e Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, needs no introductions because it's identifiable at a first glance; an eclectic suspension lamp with a shiny aluminium “dress”, characterized by shape and finishing that have personality. The fulcrum is obviously the spun aluminium reflector, polished and then protected with transparent paint; the polished zaponvarnished finishing makes the lamp unique. The shape of the reflector is as much characteristic: it's a wide hemisphere “enriched” with embossed lines that “move” the surface and serve as a mirror for ambient light. The light beam is direct and this makes Splügen Bräu the ideal choice to light tables and desks: the perfect placement is in the kitchen or above an important table, although the lamp's strong personality allows more versatility than one can think at a first glance.
