Recently the taste for “industrial” objects, characterized by the use of materials and shapes that refer to the working of metals, made a comeback also in the design world.
The trend was evident in the furniture segment, too, and lighting products didn't elude this logic. Tab, floor and table lamp produced by Flos, will find many admirers
among the lovers of this kind of objects: fully made in die-cast aluminium, is characterized by bold, sharp and edgy lines and shapes, no frills and no room for preciousness. Tab, designed by Edward Barber e Jay Osgerby, it's the ideal solution for the ones looking for a beautiful and functional lamp, because it has a beautiful direct and adjustable light beam, thanks to the adjustable head. The lamp is made up
by a circular base from which it rises a thin cylindric stem; at the top of it there's the head, made up by two thin plate, and under the head there's the porcelain reflector.
All the elements are painted in the same color: white, blue or black. Tab is available also with dimmer and in the table version, identical but smaller.

Commento: E' una lampada da scrivania perfetta, con ottima intensità di luce nonostante le dimensioni ridotte. La luce, poi, pur essendo alogena e forte, è giallastra e calda quasi come quella delle vecchie lampadine a filamento (credo sia dovuto al filtro della ceramica bianca del portalampada), il che la rende un oggetto di modernissimo design, ma dal gusto un po' retrò... e irresistibile. La linea è semplicemente splendida, questa lampada è un gioiello!
