Despite the name, this wall lamp by Fontana Arte has nothing to do with the exotic
fruit. It's called Ananas (which means pineapple in Italian) and simplicity is its strong
point, together with a good amount of minimalist style and elegance. But you're
wrong if you think it's the usual “boring” applique, because the little Ananas allows
you to set up different configurations giving you much freedom and the possibility to
express your own creativity. A white painted metal mounting holds to the wall a
layered glass diffuser, rounded and of trapezoidal shape: this is Ananas, available in
white or amber color. There's also a bottom closure glass, tempered and sandblasted,
to dim the light source. Ananas, as we said, lend itself to many different
configurations: straight or “upside down”, coupled with another exemplar
