Fontana Arte's Avion doesn't love half-measures: shapes and lines are extremely
characteristic, look is contemporary, materials are modern, details stand out. Avion,
designed by Marco Acerbis in 2009 is available in table and suspended version, but is
the table version that draws attention thanks to the beautiful structure that holds the
beautiful diffuser. Let's take a look at it: on a circular base made of die cast
aluminium painted white is inserted a tapered support that serves as a stem and stands
out thanks to its sharp upper end, that comes out from the truncated-cone rounded
diffuser. Diffuser and support are both made of polished painted metal manufactured
through rotational molding process: the effect is of extreme smoothness and it
enhances the tapered and wrapping shape of the lamp. Both in the table and
suspended versions there's an opal white glass disc diffuser (it's placed at the upper
end in the suspended version, at the lower end in the table version).
