It only takes a look to fall in love with it. We're talking about Bilia, art-piece of
Fontana Arte's range, table light full of personality designed in 1931 by Giò Ponti.
The name contains the essence of this lamp: Bilia is a light sphere, a shiny ball
magically balanced on a pointed support. The brushed nickel-plated metal frame is a
proper cone, smoothed and with a pointy end; and there on the edge is mounted the
satin white blown glass diffuser, a perfect sphere, a light ball beautiful and very
functional. Bilia is equipped with dimmer, transparent as the plug so it does not
attract attention. Bilia is medium-sized: 43 cm of height and 20 cm of maximum
diameter.
