Straight from the Fifties here's a table light that knows how to give charisma and
character to any table or desk. Bis by Fontana Arte is a furniture piece before being a
refined and functional lamp: the merit goes to materials, shapes and original design
choices. Bis in fact has a “double hat” - hence the name: two diffusers, both made of
glass, for a beautiful optical and light effect. Let's start from the bottom: Bis' frame,
entirely made of blank brass, is made up by a small-diameter circular base and a
tubular stem. On top of the stem there are the two diffusers: the upper bowl is made
of a very elegant black opal glass 6 mm thick, internally sandblasted, under it there's
a white frosted glass diffuser that has the task of dimming the light beam. So much
elegance and refinement is concentrated in compact measures: 43 cm of height and
38 cm of maximum width.
