Lamp or decoration? Or both? It's hard to say, but we tend towards the second option.
Wave by Foscarini is a “crossover” suspended lamp, as the company itself defines it,
a meeting between many functions and styles. Designed in 2009 by Studio Baruffi &
De Santi, Wave bends the solid and tough aluminium in a soft and sinuous shape, that
conquers by virtue of its delicacy and its being almost receding: it seems a
brushstroke, or a light trail in the dark. But Wave's structure is made, as we said, of
extruded aluminium (available in white, black or gray). And light? Looking at Wave
you easily forget of being in front of a lamp. Wave lights the room thanks to small
halogen light sources placed on its upper surface, that remain hidden.
