How to describe this “big shot” of Ingo Maurer's production? Imaginative, original,
maybe a bit self-centered. But Bulb is mostly and simply itself: a beautiful piece of
furniture that at the same time is a very functional table light, a refined but also very
essential creation. Bulb, as the name says, it's a tribute to the bulb, the light-bulb par
excellence, the object we nowadays know as the “old” incandescence bulb. And the
light bulb is contained in a structure that has the shape of a bulb. The structure is
made in its lower part of polished chrome-plated metal, while in its higher part it's
made of blown crystal glass, a beautiful “bowl” that allows to see the bulb and
creates interesting reflections and light games. Bulb is 30 cm high and has a
maximum width of 20 cm.
