An experience for the eyes and for the senses in general. Forget about the word
“lamp” and everything you know about domestic lighting: Delirium Yum is... another
thing, an object capable of generating emotions, creating an atmosphere, enrapturing
the eyes and your imagination. It's an Ingo Maurer and Sebastian Heptin's project
dated 2006, a table lamp that is little lamp and much piece of furniture. A dynamic
piece of furniture: Delirium Yum in fact finds its most characteristic element in the
crystal glass vase full of water inside of which a sphere moves in an unpredictable
way, carried around by a whirlwind. The movement of water is adjustable
electronically and everything is lighten from above by a light bulb “inserted” in a
mirror, that reflects and enhances the light games coming from the water, also thanks
to the silver particles supplied with the lamp. The whole structure lays on a wide
square base made of Corian. The choice of where to put this wonderful creation is up
to you, it's useless to say that it deserves a worthy position...
