And, as if by magic, the light bulb appears and then disappears. Magic isn't involved
in this beautiful suspended lamp by Ingo Maurer, but it's useless to deny that Eddie's
Son – this is the name of the lamp – has something magical about it. Eddie's Son in
fatc is capable of materializing a beautiful red bulb every time you turn it on, as well
as being capable of making it disappear when you turn it off. The merit goes to the
hologram-diffuser, a 25x16 piece of glass that is the characterizing element of the
lamp, that has a very simple structure characterized by a modern and minimalist style.
A wire holds the light bulb, inserted in a cylindric black structure; under it there's the
hologram, refined and fascinating. Every time you turn on the light the magic repeats:
but even when the light's off Eddie's Son is a very beautiful object, characterized by a
simple elegance that can fit different environments.
