Turn off the light and make the light bulb disappear. It's almost magic what you're
allowed to do by Holonzki, very refined wall lamp by Ingo Maurer, designed in 2000
by Eckard Knuth and Ingo Maurer himself. The magic is in the materials and in the
processing: Holonzki, in fact, has a glass hologram as a diffuser, a hologram
depicting a light bulb that materializes when you turn on the light and disappears
when you press the switch again. This “evanescent” light bulb is “mounted” on a
metal lamp-holder from which a 250 cm-long black fabric cable comes out. The
geometric shape of the diffuser, a 13x18 cm rectangle, makes the lamp look like a
real painting: a magic painting, able to draw everybody's attention, that can make
every wall special.
