An “easy” lamp: easy to place, to match, to use. But also a very original and full of
personality lamp, despite its easiness. We're talking about Lampeduso, a ceiling/wall
lamp by Ingo Maurer, a 1994 project by Bernhard Dessecker. Lampeduso is
characterized by very compact dimensions, a simple structure and an appearance
which is not flashy but is elegant and “handy”, in the sense that this lamp really
stands out for how easily it can fit different environments. Lampeduso's structure is
made up by a circular wall-support from which it bulges out a thin metal stick,
mounted with a strong angle; at the end of this stick there's the lamp-holder, which is
transparent so that components and wires can be seen from outside. A heat-resistant
glass fabric “sheet” screens the light source and wraps around the light bulb.
